We have great people at Dalata and we know our biggest strength is the dedication and enthusiasm of our amazing teams. We pride ourselves on doing things a different way, a better way and after months of careful planning, we are delighted to have settled into our new HQ in Termini in Sandyford, Dublin.
We have grown incrementally over the years and are continuing to do so. As a result of our sustained growth, we were spread over three floors in our previous HQ. It really wasn’t ideal. We know we are at our best when we are working together but, with our people across different floors, it felt fractured. The space no longer played to our strengths – it put physical boundaries in place in terms of teams working and collaborating together. We knew we needed something different.
We knew we wanted to be on one floor, but we took time to plan how the space would work best for us, in terms of how it should look and the facilities that we require. We started from the desk and worked out from there. All of the desks in our HQ are exactly the same and all have new equipment at each of them. There was a big focus on technology and our new HQ is a hot-desk environment, so our people can arrive and be working beside different team members each day.
Termini is an energising place to work, with floor-to-ceiling windows it is bright and airy and there is a buzz to it, it is a real hive of activity.
The journey to this point has been both challenging and exciting. Overall, it is a much better space in terms of collaboration and general sociability than we have ever had before. We have lots of meeting spaces in the office and have huddle rooms that can be booked as needed, to allow teams to work closely together.
We are delighted with the end product. Lots of incredible work and thought, from lots of our fantastic people, has gone into getting us this far and the finished product is super. It is the perfect space for Dalata in this era of hybrid and collaborative working that we are living in today.
