It's a platform to share your stories - stories that showcase your dedication, resilience, and the genuine joy you bring to your roles. This is your platform, and we are keen for you to really shape it as we move forward.
We will also use the publication as a means of updating you on a wide range of initiatives such as our Sustainable Business/ESG (environment, social, governance) strategy, The Dalata Academy and our growth plans.
As Chief People Officer, I am always proud to shed light on our people-centric strategy, which has been pivotal to our success, underscored by our unwavering commitment to authenticity and inclusiveness. We have witnessed remarkable growth, with a workforce of over 5,500 dedicated employees across the UK, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.
As you know, our journey is built upon a foundation of core values - our people, fairness, individuality, and service. These values are not just words on paper; they are embedded in the fabric of our organisation, guiding every strategic decision we make.

As Ireland’s largest hotel group and one that continues to grow across the UK and Continental Europe, it’s important we not only attract the best people but also retain them. We understand that in order to sustain growth, we must nurture the talent within our ranks and that is why in 2023 we were pleased to launch our enhanced employee benefit package.
Our people can now stay in all of our 53 hotels for just £/€60 a night and enjoy a 50% discount on all food, hot beverages and soft drinks served throughout our hotels. We have also increased the budget available to our chefs to ensure a hot, healthy meal option is always available, day or night, for our people to enjoy, with colleagues, while on duty.
Looking ahead, we have really exciting expansion plans which will present our people with enormous opportunities for further development as they take the next step in their career with Dalata. Our people are not just employees; you are ambassadors of our brand, and your enthusiasm radiates in the memorable experiences you create.
We really want the pages of The Dalata Difference to be a platform where we can celebrate you and everything you do. In a company of over 5,500 employees, it’s impossible for us all to know each other, but we hope this publication helps bring us that little bit closer.

I loved reading about the terrific efforts of our people in Finsbury Park and, while I always knew we are a talented bunch, Carlean Sam-Orhin’s bakes look delicious!
