Welcome to the first edition of The Dalata Difference, our new e-publication specifically launched to celebrate our amazing people.
I always say hospitality is all about people and at Dalata we have great people. Dalata – a different way, a better way.
If we take care of our people and our people take care of our customers, then the financial results will take care of themselves.
Our values are really important to me and through these pages I am looking forward to learning more about how our people live those values on a daily basis.
The Dalata Difference has been developed to help us stay connected, something which we recognise can be tricky in a company of over 5,000 employees and an expanding portfolio of hotels.
It has also been developed as a platform for us to share our stories, really bring to life what it means to work at Dalata and most importantly celebrate our exceptionally talented people.
So many great things happen at this company and we want to capture as many as possible and share them on these pages. I’m really excited about The Dalata Difference, but I want to stress this is your platform and we are keen for you to really run with it and shape it as we move forward.
We will also use the publication as a means of updating you on a wide range of initiatives such as our ESG strategy, The Dalata Academy and our growth plans.
I hope you enjoy the first edition of The Dalata Difference and I want to pay tribute to everyone who has contributed.
It was lovely to read about Aline Caliari and to chart her career progression. Aline’s story demonstrates the opportunities that exist at our company for building a really rewarding career and her closeness to her former colleagues in Dublin highlights the special connections we all make at Dalata.
I was also moved to read Darina Brennan’s story. Anyone who knows Darina, knows what an inspirational lady she is, and I was proud to read about how she felt supported by the Dalata family during her recent cancer treatment.
And when we speak about individuality, Maia Gotthard Jones from Clayton Hotel Bristol takes it to the next level with her extraordinary performances as a fire dancer!
Please put your feet up, relax and enjoy this first edition of The Dalata Difference.
